SPLASH ISLAND ~ NUVALI

Too many reasons to celebrate MAY 11, 2016 (Wednesday) Rates: (Money spent) Van (rented for the whole day, Las Pinas- Splash Island- Nuvali- Las Pinas): 2,500 pesos Splash island's entrance fee (Metrodeal): 299 pesos per head Resort's tent: Free :)  Lockers: 100pesos (Box/ Big container: 200 pesos) Nuvali (Boat ride): 40 pesos per head Nuvali (Fish feeding) 20 pesos Splash island opens at 8AM-6PM. We arrived early and had our breakfast at the parking area of the resort. Food and drinks are not allowed inside so we brought our own and put them in the van. I recommend you to do the same because food, drinks and other stuff inside the resort are quite expensive. Be practical! I think all the guests do the same thing. Their ticket booths are well- organized. There are booths for walk-in guests, metrodeal or peeps who already have their vouchers/tix.  They're very strict when checking the bags. Sad to say that my brother wasn't with us. He's still in Kuwait, waiting for his flight back to the Philippines. Our schedule was at 10AM of April 28 to 12noon of April 29. We arrived at the hotel at 11AM. Since we didn't have our own car, we took uber and paid 400 pesos for the fare. (From Moonwalk, Las Pinas) We stayed in Santorini Tower. 5 minutes away from the pool. The room is pretty nice and clean. We got 2 bedrooms at affordabe rate, both are airconditioned. Utensils, electric stove and microwave oven are also available. It's fully furnished. Taytay falls, Majayjay Laguna

A weekend getaway in Laguna. February 20, 2016 We visited one of the famous falls in Laguna. The Taytay falls in Majayjay. We went on a weekend that's why it's a bit crowded. It was a little difficult to find a nice spot to go camping. Nevertheless, it was a good experience. People often call it the Majayjay Falls, maybe because it's in Majayjay Laguna but actually its name is Taytay Falls. Its former name was The Imelda falls, named after the First lady of our late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Mrs. Imelda Marcos. She has financed the promotion of tourism of the place, that's why. The Taytay Falls It was a 3-4 hours (+ traffic jams) drive from Las Piñas City. We arrived at around 11AM, got our registration and paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. It's better to bring your own tent, for you not to rent one. Since souvenir shops close at 5 in the afternoon, we bought some before going to the falls.
