Taytay falls, Majayjay Laguna

A weekend getaway in Laguna.
February 20, 2016

We visited one of the famous falls in Laguna. The Taytay falls in Majayjay. We went on a weekend that's why it's a bit crowded. It was a little difficult to find a nice spot to go camping. Nevertheless, it was a good experience.

People often call it the Majayjay Falls, maybe because it's in Majayjay Laguna but actually its name is Taytay Falls. Its former name was The Imelda falls, named after the First lady of our late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Mrs. Imelda Marcos. She has financed the promotion of tourism of the place, that's why.

The Taytay Falls
It was a 3-4 hours (+ traffic jams) drive from Las PiƱas City. We arrived at around 11AM, got our registration and paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. It's better to bring your own tent, for you not to rent one. Since souvenir shops close at 5 in the afternoon, we bought some before going to the falls. You can also buy food and drinks near the entrance gate.
Parking area.
Who wouldn't love hotdogs? lol
I was amazed on how they sliced them. It's really cool!
(Not my photo)

You have to walk for 10-15 minutes from the entrance gate to the falls.
(depending on how fast you do it)

On our way to the falls, you can see a lot of these
The MINI falls, as I called it :) haha

Look! It was crowded, right?
I recommend you to visit the place on a weekday, maybe there will be less campers

Our tent.
Should I say, OUR bags' tent. HAHA
We put all the valuables there. It wasn't a perfect spot to lie and relax because it's ROCKY. :D (literally)

I've never thought that it can also be fun to go on a trip with your friend's family. You get to know them well. They're all cool, really. We had a lot of crazy talks, jokes and all. I would never forget the "HIRIT" joke of my friend's brother.

Him: Anong malalim na tagalog ng chair?
Me: Salumpwet
Him: eh ng wheelchair?
Me: Salumpo (kala mo ah!)
Him: eh ng vinegar?
Me: hmmm.. Ano?
Him: Sa lumpia.
Me: LOL (benta sakin, serry haha)
Say hi to them

After setting the tent up. We decided to have our lunch before dipping to the cold water of Taytay falls. They prepared tuna sandwiches, fish, adobo, rice etc. Shout out to Dela Rea family, Thanks for the delicious food.
High school friends, Chuchay and Em
Eating on the rocks! Cool! #struggleisreal
We were freezing.
It didn't show, right? Good job girls. haha
I would recommend you guys wear rash guards but if you want to flaunt your sexy body,
why not wear 2-piece lol GOOD LUCK!

The hanging bridge
Me, looking for myself. Wut? #kbye

After a couple of hours, we decided to rinse and get off the place. They have shower rooms but some didn't have locks. Not perfect so, don't expect too much. You have to fall in line as well. Go change in your tents instead. A friendly advice. :)
Disclaimer: Since it was fresh water, I didn't shower. hihi
We had dinner at Isdaan Floating Restaurant, Calauan Laguna
They ordered, pinakbet, sinigang na hipon, chicken, rice etc.
I would never forget our Magic Kaldero. Unli rice it is. :)
Tacsiyapo Wall
(A Kapampangan word meaning, "shame on you" similar to the Tagalog, P.I.!.)
Another first. It was a nice experience though. :)
You have to shout your stress out before throwing crockery
I bought a plate that costs 30 pesos. It's a bit heavy and hard for me to break.
Since I failed on my first try, I did this twice. hihi
RATE: cups (PhP20), bowls (PhP30), plates (PhP30), pitchers (PhP100), vases or even a broken TV (PhP2,000)

If you're looking for a perfect place to have dinner or meal with friends and family, I would highly recommend this, Isdaan Floating Restaurant, Calauan Laguna. It has a nice & unique view, friendly staff, cool performances and good food. Let me share some of our photos.

CEBU

#CebuYess A good friend went back home from Saudi, who's been there for a year. We decided to go to Cebu and booked a flight last October 2015. Everything was spontaneous, a DIY trip.  Air fare rates: January 20, 2016,  Wednesday Manila to Cebu  (Air Asia) 1,100 pesos January, 24, 2016,  Sunday   Cebu to Manila (Cebu Pacific)  1,280pesos Good thing we got some promotions from the airlines. If you'll have the cheapest fare, the better. Day 1 January 20, 2016 Wednesday   Our flight was at 0715. We were at the airport an hour before the flight. Everything went well and arrived at the Mactan International Airport at around 0840. We took the white cab (outside the airport) going to the North terminal. The driver gave us tickets for the insurance. Cool!   We paid 170 pesos for the trip. It takes less than an hour to get there.  From the North terminal, we took a van going to Hagnaya port and paid 150 pesos/head for the tr
