S A G A D A

Where do broken hearts go?
Pinoys will always answer, "sa Sagada!"
What's new? haha

I should say that not everyone who goes there has a broken heart.
Yung iba, broke lang talaga. HAHAHA. Break ko bones niyo, you want? HAHAHAAHH kbye

This is one on my list. I am glad to see its beauty. Though the weather was not that good (so, I didn't see the sea of clouds) and the locals just harvested their crops (so, I was not able to see the perfect rice terraces). It was fine, yeah, it was REAAAAALLY fine. :(: I'll be visiting Sagada again, I guess. HAHAHA

October might not be the month to go there. just saying :)

Transportation: (Manila - Baguio - Sagada)
Pasay Victory Liner - Baguio VL (460 pesos)

Baguio VL to Besao Sagada Bontoc Terminal (51 pesos via cab)

Baguio to Sagada (220 pesos via bus)

ONE WAY: 731 pesos
ROUND TRIP: 1,462 pesos

We stayed at Sagada Guest House & Resto or Cafe (Whatever you call it haha)
1,050 per night for 3pax with 1 queen- sized bed, 1 single bed, 1 bathroom
2N = 2,100 pesos

P.S. Don't you dare expect an air-conditioner or a fan in the bedroom. Gets? :)

Actually, you can find a cheaper place to stay in. Like, 250 PESOS per night , however, you'll have a common bathroom, which is okay to others. So, it really depends on your needs and comfort.

Day 1 (10/20)
ECHO VALLEY WALKING TOUR
(600 pesos for 10 pax or less)

+ Environmental fee of 35 pesos/head
(always bring your OR)

Church of St. Mary the Virgin
Echo Valley Hanging Coffins

Sagada Underground River

Bokong Falls

It was a 3 hour - trek from our place to the end of the trail. It was fun but a bit tiring. It's worth it though. Wear the most comfortable clothes you have. It was not that cold so I needed to take my sweater off. So, I suggest you wear a shirt and leggings. (And shorts for men.) Prepare to catch some breath if you're not into walking or trekking. Oldies or young ones might have a hard time (still depends). Since you'll go through rocks, water, land, rocks then water etc., I advise you to take "alaxan" for body pain, before the trek. But then again, it's fun and you'll appreciate the beauty of nature at its finest :)

The only bell or kampana that's left in their old church
Sagada 1921
Caja Pizza, Cheesecake etc.

Etag Pizza & Chicken Pesto
350 pesos
After our trek, the tummies looked for some pizza. Chicken pesto is the bomb! REALLY!!! Believe me! :)
Mini Chessecakes cost 50 pesos.

Day 2 (10/21)
Kiltepan Peak Mountain Province
Sumaguing Cave (Spelunking)

The best photo that I can share. (so SAD)
KILTEPAN VIEW POINT
Unfortunately, the weather was so bad. It was drizzling, so the sun didn't show up. Which means, sea of clouds IS NOOOO! 😢
My friend and her mother-earth

Kiltepan Peak became famous after the movie, "That thing called tadhana".  It is now one of the "most- visited" tourist spots in Sagada. Expect a lot of people, should I say, "a sea of people". HAHAHAHA

How to get there?
We rented a van that costs 500 pesos. ---of course you can get a cheaper one. (relax :)) Others took a pick-up or a jeepney. I guess that's more affordable.

SUMAGUING CAVE

Rappelling
Not everyone does it, so better be the one to do so
King's curtain

Shells on the rocks :)

Do you see a man's face? If yes, you're not blind HAHAHA

Chocolate cake
A giant curly top, I say

They say it's a turtle
But I see a duck. IDK hahaha

They say it's a crocodile
But I see a large rock AHHAHAHA
ELEPHANT
It seems as if it's looking at me
I smell something fishy 🤣
HAHAHAHA
A pregnant's kepyas

Something's trying to escape the cave
#whatisrhyme AHAHA
I went spelunking alone, I mean alone with a tourist guide. (So technically, not alone HAHAHA) But without my friends (and not lonely). My fingers can't stop typing or TALKING HAHAHA. Anyway, my friends weren't able to finish it, just because. I need a new post for that. jk :)

This was the highlight of my trip, since I wasn't able to see the bunch of clouds in Kiltepan, I'll take this as one. It's memorable because I was able to see those wonderful rocks which I usually see in photos online. I thought it's slippery but it isn't. They're like sandpaper on the rocks. At first, it was slippery (on the way to the cave) but once you reach in, everything will be fine & easy.

You'll struggle, of course, it's always a part of it. A part of THE adventure. Just be careful and follow your tour guide. Do what he says and challenge yourself. :)

I let "Kuya" tour guide take photos of me. I handed him my phone, actually. He's kind but a little shy. I hope you'll get the coolest or the friendliest one. Good luck! 😉

For The Sumaguing Cave:
We rented a van for 350 pesos
Paid the tour guide for 500 pesos
I think you can get a price that's cheaper than this. I REALLY THINK SO. :)

Okay done with the places.
Let's talk about foooooooooooodieee 🥄🍴

LEMON PIE
220 pesos per box
75php / slice
At Sagada Taste

Longsilog and Bangsilog
YES! They have crepe in Sagada!

That'll be all for my SAGADA TRIP.
Sagad na yan.! LOL

I am looking forward to visiting this place again and again and again. Until I see the CLOUDSSSSSSSSS and the RICE TERRACES +  get a tatt from Madam Whang- od. I'll definitely go back. Swear!

CEBU

#CebuYess A good friend went back home from Saudi, who's been there for a year. We decided to go to Cebu and booked a flight last October 2015. Everything was spontaneous, a DIY trip.  Air fare rates: January 20, 2016,  Wednesday Manila to Cebu  (Air Asia) 1,100 pesos January, 24, 2016,  Sunday   Cebu to Manila (Cebu Pacific)  1,280pesos Good thing we got some promotions from the airlines. If you'll have the cheapest fare, the better. Day 1 January 20, 2016 Wednesday   Our flight was at 0715. We were at the airport an hour before the flight. Everything went well and arrived at the Mactan International Airport at around 0840. We took the white cab (outside the airport) going to the North terminal. The driver gave us tickets for the insurance. Cool!   We paid 170 pesos for the trip. It takes less than an hour to get there.  From the North terminal, we took a van going to Hagnay...

Taytay falls, Majayjay Laguna

A weekend getaway in Laguna. February 20, 2016 We visited one of the famous falls in Laguna. The Taytay falls in Majayjay. We went on a weekend that's why it's a bit crowded. It was a little difficult to find a nice spot to go camping. Nevertheless, it was a good experience. People often call it the Majayjay Falls, maybe because it's in Majayjay Laguna but actually its name is Taytay Falls. Its former name was The Imelda falls, named after the First lady of our late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Mrs. Imelda Marcos. She has financed the promotion of tourism of the place, that's why. The Taytay Falls It was a 3-4 hours (+ traffic jams) drive from Las Piñas City. We arrived at around 11AM, got our registration and paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. It's better to bring your own tent, for you not to rent one. Since souvenir shops close at 5 in the afternoon, we bought some before going to the falls. You can also buy food and drinks near the entrance gate. Park...
