INFLATABLE ISLAND
"The biggest floating playground in Asia"

THE FLOATING PLAYGROUND MAP
(Photo grabbed from the website)

LOCATION: Subic Bay waters located at Purok 6, National Highway, Lower Kalaklan, Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines (outside the Freeport Zone).

We took the SPRAY (morning pass: 8AM-11:50AM) for 999pesos online. The recommended package, why? Playing under the sun is really exhausting, I guess 4 hours would be enough for you to enjoy all the floats, not unless you're too playful like that, if so, you may take the whole day pass.

Another thing is, the sun's too up in the afternoon. I guess, sunblock lotion will be useless. oa (just my opinion) ☺

What to bring?
(in the floating playground) NONE haha!
⮞GoPro (optional)
I recommend you to bring one cause it's always great to capture fun moments with your loved ones.

(in the island) your valuables
⮞Lockers are available for rent.

⮞Food and drinks aren't allowed inside. However, we still brought a liter of bottled water and put it in the locker (since we do not have a car)

What to wear?
(in the floating playground)
⮞life jackets (for free, provided by the resort)
⮞rashguard (recommendable)
⮞NO jewelry, belt, maong shorts with zipper (anything with metal or sharps isn't allowed in the floating playground)
⮞swimming shoes; optional (speedo's)
⮞Any swimwear attire is OKAY but please don't wear bikinis, though it's fine, if you want to flaunt your sexy body but with all those floats and activities? NO, JUST NO, not recommendable at all *just my opinion. For pictorial purposes, YES.

Monday

From our place, The Horizon Hotel which is in Subic Bay Port, we took a cab going to Samba Bluewater Resort and paid 250 pesos (for fare, 5pax). A 10-15 min drive, expensive? yes! So better take a jeepney.  ☺

Our schedule starts at 8 in the morning so, we're there for the orientation at a quarter to 8. Is the orientation necessary? YES. Because they give waivers (per person) after the orientation which are needed in exchange of the life jackets.

BALI LOUNGE
Food (heavy meal) isn't allowed in the Bali lounge. Snacks and drinks (from the resort) are ok. They have available tables though, located in front of the "food choices" but if you're planning to bring your own food, it's okay, however, Samba beach charges a corkage fee that starts at Php 500 for 1-7pax. (or better eat at the parking area, if you like).

I bought Mango shake for 120 pesos. *just sharing ☺🍹

Small lockers: 50 pesos (half day)
                        100 pesos (whole day)

Big lockers: 100 pesos (half day)
                     150 pesos (whole day)
The floating playground

After our first 1 1/2 hours in the floating playground, jumping, bouncing, diving, swimming and enjoying, we've decided to take a break and chill in the Bali lounge for about 30 minutes.

We tried all the floats on the left side of the playground first and another half for the right side. It's a good strategy for you not to miss any floats and water activities

If you do value your skin, please apply sunblock lotion or cream. 😃

Some of my favorites are the human launcher, trampoline, jungle bars and the giant tarzan swing & slide. If you're asking if it's tiring, YES IT IS, but it's worth the body pain and such. Believe me, you'll enjoy most especially if you're with a group who's willing to try everything without any hesitations. Go! Try it.

*Drink alaxan before you play and act as a child in the playground.

My friends and I by the beach
We're actually planning to try the HUMAN LAUNCHER. That's the highlight of our play. 😊
It's sad that we weren't able to try the floating zoo. It wasn't available and we didn't know why. Besides, no one cares to ask. haha

We left the beach at around 12:30PM and went back to the hotel and had lunch.

LOCATION: Lot 70-4 Canal Road Central Business District, Subic Bay Freeport Zone
We took the Family VIP with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with free breakfast for 5pax for 4,400 pesos via booking.com (staycation at its finest) 😃

We're satisfied, so it's all good. Though you can find more affordable hotels around the area or at the Samba Bluewater Resort or El Molina Beach Resort.

Entrance fee: 100 pesos per head

We stayed there for about 3 hours on our first day, May 7, 2017, while waiting for our check in time at the Horizon Hotel.

We rented a table with umbrella for 500 pesos (9AM-8PM). However, we had to transfer so we left the resort at around 1PM.

#CebuYess A good friend went back home from Saudi, who's been there for a year. We decided to go to Cebu and booked a flight last October 2015. Everything was spontaneous, a DIY trip.  Air fare rates: January 20, 2016,  Wednesday Manila to Cebu  (Air Asia) 1,100 pesos January, 24, 2016,  Sunday   Cebu to Manila (Cebu Pacific)  1,280pesos Good thing we got some promotions from the airlines. Taytay falls, Majayjay Laguna

A weekend getaway in Laguna. February 20, 2016 We visited one of the famous falls in Laguna. The Taytay falls in Majayjay. We went on a weekend that's why it's a bit crowded. It was a little difficult to find a nice spot to go camping. Nevertheless, it was a good experience. People often call it the Majayjay Falls, maybe because it's in Majayjay Laguna but actually its name is Taytay Falls. Its former name was The Imelda falls, named after the First lady of our late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Mrs. Imelda Marcos. She has financed the promotion of tourism of the place, that's why. The Taytay Falls It was a 3-4 hours (+ traffic jams) drive from Las Piñas City. We arrived at around 11AM, got our registration and paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. It's better to bring your own tent, for you not to rent one. Since souvenir shops close at 5 in the afternoon, we bought some before going to the falls. You can also buy food and drinks near the entrance gate. Park
