Day 1
January 31, 2017
Tuesday

We arrived at Iloilo Airport at around 6 in the morning
From the airport, we took a van going to Molo Terminal, Iloilo City.
Van (rate): 600 pesos (From the airport to Molo terminal) quite pricey?, yes! but papa still took the deal and I didn't know why. HAHA

From Molo terminal, we rented a van for 1,500 pesos going to Ilabas, Sibalom, Antique. It took us 3 hours to get there.

We bought some pasalubong to our relatives in Antique.
We arrived at Sibalom, Antique at around 9AM. We were too excited to meet our relatives. We had lunch together and took a rest the whole day. I love how steady their life is in the province. Less pollution, good people, peaceful and lotsa pets. HEHE pigs and chickens.

I killed some of my time by watching a Korean drama at home (Uncle's). I watched "Goblin", Episodes 5-13, I think. Please don't judge. ☺

At night, I had drinks with my siblings and cousins.

Day 2
February 1, 2017
Wednesday

We went around the area and visited some of our relatives, in Sibalom Cemetery. We prayed and lit up some candles for them. We also dropped by papa's farm or "Lupain" HAHA ☺ Kidding!

Day 3
February 2, 2017
Thursday

Uncle Sonny's birthday (Papa's younger brother)

Everyone's busy. They're cooking, drinking and having a good time. It's nice to see new faces and relatives that we haven't seen for ages. Had great talks and such.

I got up in the morning to see and experience this.
For the "Lechon"
(Vegetarians, please excuse this photo. Thank you.)
We walked around the area, again, to visit some of our aunts and uncles.
This is my aunt's mini store in Sibalom, Antique.
I find the post funny ☺ "Reserved for tsismoso at tsismosa"
In English, "this seat is reserved for people who like gossips."
In the afternoon, we dropped by our Aunt's house, in San Jose Antique, and they drove us to Robinson's place to meet a friend.

Robinson's place Antique
(It's still under construction)
We bought some stuff and grocery + met my brother's friend.
Katrina's La Paz batchoy and refreshment
San Jose, Antique

Special batchoy
60 pesos per bowl, good for one person
Lechon for dinner.

At night, my brother, some of our relatives & friends went out to attend an event at the park. It's called, "Pabayle". It is a custom in Antique which happens every festival or fiesta.

"Pabayle para sa Antikenyos" = it is where you can drink with other people from different barangays in Antique. You can eat and dance too. You just have to pay 1,500 pesos for the table which includes a case of beer (of your choice) and a whole roasted chicken. Consumable, for #s of people. (all depends on you)

Day 4
February 3, 2017
Friday

Fiesta ✔
Food ✔
Drinks ✔
Talks ✔

Non- stop eating and drinking. We had a chance to get to know our family well.
It was also my first time to experience the festivity in Sibalom, Antique. There were a lot of people, families and friends, coming in and out of my Uncle and Aunt's houses to eat and drink. It was a very busy day for everyone.

I believe, it is really a Filipino culture to serve and accommodate visitors during this kind of event. I am glad that I had an opportunity to experience it.

I am looking forward to doing it again and again. ☺

Our last morning at Sibalom.

However, they weren't able to reserve it so they transferred us to Station 2. The room was clean but since I really wanted to have a peaceful stay, I insisted to be transferred to Station 1. A bit disappointed. I talked to the manager about the transfer and they did fix thing. In the afternoon, we moved to Station 1. ☺

Tips: If you're travelling with friends or partner, you better stay at Station 2. (lots of bars and restaurants)
If you're with family or children, book a hotel at Station 1. (swim and beach bum)

CEBU

#CebuYess A good friend went back home from Saudi, who's been there for a year. We decided to go to Cebu and booked a flight last October 2015. Everything was spontaneous, a DIY trip.  Air fare rates: January 20, 2016,  Wednesday Manila to Cebu  (Air Asia) 1,100 pesos January, 24, 2016,  Sunday   Cebu to Manila (Cebu Pacific)  1,280pesos Good thing we got some promotions from the airlines. If you'll have the cheapest fare, the better. Day 1 January 20, 2016 Wednesday   Our flight was at 0715. We were at the airport an hour before the flight. Everything went well and arrived at the Mactan International Airport at around 0840. We took the white cab (outside the airport) going to the North terminal. The driver gave us tickets for the insurance. Cool!   We paid 170 pesos for the trip. It takes less than an hour to get there.  From the North terminal, we took a van going to Hagnay...

Taytay falls, Majayjay Laguna

A weekend getaway in Laguna. February 20, 2016 We visited one of the famous falls in Laguna. The Taytay falls in Majayjay. We went on a weekend that's why it's a bit crowded. It was a little difficult to find a nice spot to go camping. Nevertheless, it was a good experience. People often call it the Majayjay Falls, maybe because it's in Majayjay Laguna but actually its name is Taytay Falls. Its former name was The Imelda falls, named after the First lady of our late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Mrs. Imelda Marcos. She has financed the promotion of tourism of the place, that's why. The Taytay Falls It was a 3-4 hours (+ traffic jams) drive from Las Piñas City. We arrived at around 11AM, got our registration and paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. It's better to bring your own tent, for you not to rent one. Since souvenir shops close at 5 in the afternoon, we bought some before going to the falls. You can also buy food and drinks near the entrance gate. Park...
