Day 1
June 15, 2016

The flight was just on time. YES, believe me. Funny thing was we almost missed it because we were too busy chatting. Glad we heard the last call and ran to catch the plane. Epic!

From Tagbilaran Airport we were fetched by one of the staff (from Marcelina's Guesthouse)
That was very sweet of them.
Airconditioned Room:
-2 single beds, 1 queen sized bed
-common shower rooms & toilet
-living rooom
-kitchen

*Guests can use their kitchen appliances or utensils as well as the water dispenser for free.
Yes, I got my own company in Bohol. :D
We just fixed our stuff and went out to have something to eat. We took a tricycle and paid 50 pesos going to Sinugba ni Abdul, Chicken Ati-Atihan.
We ordered Chicken skin, Fried rice, Chopsuey and Bistek tagalog. The food was really delicious and affordable. We paid 600 pesos. Not bad! :)
Then, we went to ICM (Island City Mall). We were supposed to buy souvenirs in the mall but they're quite expensive. So, we decided to go shopping the next day. We just bought an SD card (for gopro) and went back to our place. (Another 50 pesos for the tricycle. Actually you can just pay 8 pesos per head but since we didn't know, we just gave them 50 pesos per trip).

We didn't go to any bars in Tagbilaran. We were too tired and lazy + we have to wait for our friend, who took a ferry from Cebu.

We just had bottles of beer on the roof top (Marcelina's). Pilsen, to be exact. :) My friend's present, a bottle opener, was very useful that time. Thanks, Abby!

Day 2
City Tour in Tagbilaran
June 16, 2016

We rented a car for 2,100 pesos (4 pax). A whole day city tour.
Rate: 525 pesos each
We left the house at 7:30AM and had breakfast at "Hazel Bulalohan". They offer variety of affordable food, they're delicious as well.
First, we went to Sandugo Shrine (Blood Compact Site). Our tour guide gave us fun facts & information about the shrine and took pictures.
Sandugo Shrine (Blood Compact Site)
Next, we went to The Chocolate Hills Adventure Park and had "my" first ATV experience. It was really fun. I didn't even care if I'll get dirty and bump to a tree or something. I don't drive, that's why. Another first. :)
I am seriously happy in this photo :)
ATV
Rate: 500 pesos per head (30 minutes)
(They gave us free iced tea after, Isn't that sweet?!)

We got the nicest tour guide. He took a lot of photos of us and extended the time. Almost an hour, I think.
He even washed our muddy slippers and shoes. Very, very kind. I didn't get his name, but Thanks, Kuya!

And then, we went sightseeing. We witnessed how beautiful the chocolate hills are. We were very impressed and again, took a lot of photos.
P.S. prepare yourself to get tired from going up and down the viewpoint. I assure you, it is all worth it.
Chocolate hills (Entrance fee)
50 pesos per head
Next, we went to the the famous "Shiphaus" in Bohol. What a unique house. It has been featured in televisions several times and became a tourist attraction in the area.
Then, we had a photo shoot at The Man-made forest :) The view looks so fantastic! It's so romantic, I couldn't explain. Just wow!
When taking photos.... #StruggleIsReal
We had lunch at the Long River Cruise & Floating Restaurant, a buffet "eat all you can" style resto.
They offer delicious dishes, chicken, pork, seafood like, crabs hmmm yummy! beef, veggies, fruits, desserts etc. Since we're tired from the morning tour, we ate a lot while enjoying the view and the country- music played by the cruise's singer.
The Buffet in Loboc River Cruise
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, it was raining hard but we still had fun. :)

The cruise dropped by an area where people sing with their ukuleles and dance "tinikling". Very pinoy style. It shows foreign people how talented and friendly Filipinos are. They also sell guitars, ukuleles and other stuff.
No fees or what, you can put extra money/ tip in their donation boxes.
Tinikling
Loboc River Cruise
Rate: 450 pesos per head (adult)
Child: with discount

Tarsier Sunctuary
Tarsier Conservation Area, Loboc Bohol
Entrance fee: 60 pesos per head
I saw packs of chichaworm for sale in the registration area. It costs 60 pesos. I didn't buy, of course. HAHA
In the Tarsier Sactuary, tourists should observe silence for us not to disturb the tarsiers.
Follow all the signs and arrows to see where they are. Actually, there are some staff around the area who'll guide and help you.
P.S. Don't use camera or cellphone flash when taking pictures.

I was so amazed to discover that tarsiers are really tiny, in person. hihi

Sevilla's Twin Hanging Bridge
(Made of bamboo or "Kawayan")
Entrance fee: 20 pesos per head
There are 2 long hanging bridges for entrance and exit.
I am not afraid of heights and bridges, so I enjoyed every second of it.
I recommend that you buy souvenirs in this place. Delicacies and other stuff are really affordable compared to other shops in Loboc & Tagbilaran.

(Sample) Rates/Prices:
Bohol T-shirt: 100 pesos (depends on the size)
Keychains: 8pcs for 100 pesos
Peanut kisses: 1 pack is for 160 pesos (16 pcs/pack)
Kalamay: 50 pesos each (Do check the expiration date before purchasing)

We dropped by the Baclayon Church. It is still under renovation.
It was ruined by a strong earthquake in 2013. There's a museum inside which we didn't try and see. (sad) We just stayed in the car and let our tour guide tell stories about its history.

After a looooong day. We went home safely and took a rest.
We had dinner at the "ihawan", infront of Marcelina's and had bottles of beer.

Day 3
June 17, 2016

Check out at Marcelina's at 12nn
Check in at Chiisai Natsu Resort at 2pm

We rented the same car and paid 500 pesos. Transfer from Marcelina's guesthouse (in Tagbilaran) to Chiisai Natsu Resort (in Panglao).

Chiisai Natsu Resort, Japanese Resort in Panglao
Airconditioned Rooms:
DAUIS & CORDELLA rooms (Names of famous places in Bohol)
-2 single beds
-tv
-toilet and shower room
-cabinet
Chiisai is not a beach-front kind of resort. Honestly, I won't recommend this to anyone, most specially if your purpose is to chill by the beach. You have to take a tricycle to get to Alona and Dumaluan Beach Resort. It costs 100 pesos each trip. The resort doesn't have a free shuttle for their guests. :(

Chiisai has a very nice view, pool, clean rooms and friendly staff. However, they don't have a restaurant and a bar. Oh yes, they have a bar but they don't sell beer or anything. Weird, right? HAHA
Beside Chiisai is a Karaoke bar and "Binalot".
There's no ministore (sari-sari store) in the area where you can buy shampoos, napkin, meds etc. You have to walk and find the nearest shop, be patient. It's also rare for us to see tricycles in the area. So, you have to ask the staff to book and call a tricycle driver. It takes time, yes :(

On a positive note, they offer free breakfast.
Disclaimer: Since the Jap owner wasn't there, we still had bottles of beer by the pool. (which is prohibited)

Day 4
June 18, 2016

We went to Dumaluan Beach Resort, Panglao Island
Entrance fee: 25 pesos
We took a tricycle and paid 100 pesos for the trip.
Hi, Patrick star!
We had lunch at Kan-anan Restaurant & Bar
Went swimming and chill by the beach. We got back to the resto and had fruitshakes.
My friends wanted to transfer but didn't find a nice place in Dumaluan.

Day 5
June 19, 2016

We went to Alona White Beach
We had lunch at the Oasis Lounge and Restaurant, Oasis Beach ResortThe food and ambiance were awesome. The view as well.
Oasis Lounge and Restaurant
If you want to stay and beach bum, I recommend that you book a resort/room in Alona. It's more beautiful & clean compared to Dumaluan. + No entrance fee
There's a lot of bars, resto, shops and hot peeps in the island lol I'm sure, you won't get bored. HAHA

You can also try some water activities and Island hopping. Such as, banana boat, snorkeling, jetski, paddle boarding, kayaking etc.
Island hopping costs (1,300- 1,600 pesos for boat rental) Just learn how to bargain. Btw, it includes dolphin watching.

We stayed by the beach the whole afternoon and went to Cena restaurant to chill.
My 2 friends, a couple, decided to transfer to Alona. They rented a room just behind the Beach rock resort (w/o airconditioner) for 800pesos/night. It has 2 queen sized beds and a bathroom. Not bad.

Finale. The Proposal.
We walked around the island and found a nice spot, near The Hennan Resort.
There's a bar with romantic lightings, music and all.
My friend asked the staff in the bar to play my best friend's favorite song. (Everything I own) Then, the proposal started. Yes, I cried a river, just even before that scene (eksenadora lol). A little emotional yet happy for the both of them. It's such a nice feeling to see how happy they are. Full of love and respect to this couple. I love you both, Lei and Jason. Stay in love!
Then, had our dinner at the U-bar lounge & met some kiddos.

Day 6
June 20, 2016

It's actually our morning flight back to Manila.
We booked the same car, again, and paid 500 pesos for the service, from Chiisai to Tagbilaran airport. Then, checked our baggage in and had breakfast outside.
The flight wasn't delayed. Impressive! :)

While waiting for the plane, these 2 talented and blessed people were playing folk songs. They're very entertaining.

We arrived at NAIA Terminal 3 and had brunch at Burger King.
Took the uber and grab car for my friend.

Whew! What a wonderful trip! Can't wait to pack my stuff and travel again.

I love Pinas.

CEBU

#CebuYess A good friend went back home from Saudi, who's been there for a year. We decided to go to Cebu and booked a flight last October 2015. Everything was spontaneous, a DIY trip.  Air fare rates: January 20, 2016,  Wednesday Manila to Cebu  (Air Asia) 1,100 pesos January, 24, 2016,  Sunday   Cebu to Manila (Cebu Pacific)  1,280pesos Good thing we got some promotions from the airlines. If you'll have the cheapest fare, the better. Day 1 January 20, 2016 Wednesday   Our flight was at 0715. We were at the airport an hour before the flight. Everything went well and arrived at the Mactan International Airport at around 0840. We took the white cab (outside the airport) going to the North terminal. The driver gave us tickets for the insurance. Cool!   We paid 170 pesos for the trip. It takes less than an hour to get there.  From the North terminal, we took a van going to Hagnay...

Taytay falls, Majayjay Laguna

A weekend getaway in Laguna. February 20, 2016 We visited one of the famous falls in Laguna. The Taytay falls in Majayjay. We went on a weekend that's why it's a bit crowded. It was a little difficult to find a nice spot to go camping. Nevertheless, it was a good experience. People often call it the Majayjay Falls, maybe because it's in Majayjay Laguna but actually its name is Taytay Falls. Its former name was The Imelda falls, named after the First lady of our late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Mrs. Imelda Marcos. She has financed the promotion of tourism of the place, that's why. The Taytay Falls It was a 3-4 hours (+ traffic jams) drive from Las Piñas City. We arrived at around 11AM, got our registration and paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. It's better to bring your own tent, for you not to rent one. Since souvenir shops close at 5 in the afternoon, we bought some before going to the falls. You can also buy food and drinks near the entrance gate. Park...
